Blackwork Circles - Part III
Sharon Foster
Sharon will lead us through some exercises to help us understand how blackwork differs from other types of stitching and to analyze patterns to determine starting points and direction of stitching.

Anyone stitching Blackwork Circles should bring their stitch guides. You can also bring your canvas for and in-progress show-and-tell.

But wait! This program is for everyone who may ever want or need to hide traveling threads or use an open stitch. Bring a pen or pencil to participate.

No signup is necessary.  Free to Sassy members.

At the May meeting,  we will also review the results of our 2016-17 Yearly Challenge and make selections for our next challenge.

June 8, 2017

This project from the ANG Chapter Project Book focuses on Borders, allowing you to choose your own combination of stitches from those presented in the stitch guide. Theses small designs finish easily as crackers to adorn a table or wreath.

Not interested in stitching with autumn colors? Stitch another season by choosing your own color palette. Not interested in make crackers? Finish as hard-back ornaments to place in a wreath or as hard-back ornaments on a stick to place in a floral arrangement.

Just curious about using borders and looking for new ways to highlight your stitching and expand your creativity? Then this is for you.

Have you used borders before? Bring your own examples/border ideas to add to our time together.

Cost for stitch guide: $3:00

Sign-up deadline: June 5, 2017. Please contact VP Shelley Beller at to reserve your copy of the stitch guide.
